Why is CRM important

Business is about offering Product/Service and customer is heart of the business.
Any business cannot exist without its customer, hence it becomes of utmost importance to keep the customer happy.

What you do to start a business and keep it going:-

  1. Get new customer/acquire new customer.
  2. Enhance relationship with existing customer.
  3. Retain customer so that you have increased customer base.

Now lets say you have started a business to sell musical instrument, and you have big names endorsing your brand.
Your brand is gaining popularity and everyone is considering your product along with other supplier/companies.

Now if you have CRM, you can simply import existing customer data and sync all the leads in sync with the system.
For new/potential customers :-

  1. Call/text/email  customers telling them more about the product and help them buy(Sell your product or service).
  2. If customers are considering to buy at sometime, you can arrange email/call reminders.
  3. Send them promotional emails and show them new product, because business is more of creating needs rather than fulfilling. If you don't believe me, look around and there are many product that you would have never felt the need of and can live without them even now.
  4. Tell them about loyalty programs and future benefit of dealing with you as a company.

So now you are selling well but some of customers found that item wasn't as good as promised.
Having CRM customer care will be able to serve customers well.

  1. History of customer making the call hence it's easy to take a call on how you can serve them best.
  2. Solve their queries by either replacing the product or giving back their money.
  3. Make them feel valuable who in return make your product valuable.

Having a CRM system in general helps you as below:-

  1. Track efficiency of your support system with SLA's in place.
  2. Get customer feedback and action them.
  3. With historical data you can know how are your suppliers doing, which supplier product is making customers unhappy.
  4. Make marketing decisions based on what was sold and in which quantity.
  5. Help you plan your business strategy.
